Mt 07 Vs Fz 07. Foot pegs are slightly lower and quite a bit further forward compared to the MT-07. As of 2018 the bike is designated MT-07 in all markets. CHECK OUT THE UPDATE VIDEO. At 7599 the MT-07 is 400 more than the 2017 model.
Ever since Yamaha introduced its modern Hyper Naked lineup with the FZ-09 theres been a bit of brand confusionThats because to markets outside of North America the FZ-09 FZ-07 and FZ-10 are known as the MT-09 MT-07 and MT-10 respectively. The bike settles in nicely and doesnt wallow or feel vague through the corners. But what about when you pass your test. The guy you saw probably had his mt07 restricted to 48hp for his A2 license. I just got a 17 FZ-07. Better suspension and brakes same awesome motor.
Apart from the name and any changes for local market homologation the FZ models are the same bikes as their MT counterparts.
However the 2017 was the last of the original model and IMO is the prettiest. Lets start with the riding position. The bike settles in nicely and doesnt wallow or feel vague through the corners. Unfortunately the newer 700cc makes 67 horsepower and 50 ft. Were happy to see the claimed curb weight of 403 remains the same but as expected the MTs price has gone up. 3 Unfortunately the FZ-07MT-07 makes 40 less horsepower than the bike it replaced.
